Sherwin Miller Museum of Jewish Art
2021 E 71st St, Tulsa, OK 74136
Join Tulsa Opera in partnership with ACTION Tulsa, the YWCA, and the Sherwin Miller Museum of Jewish Art for a moving evening of music, storytelling, and community reflection.
Inspired by themes from Tulsa Opera’s upcoming production of The Sound of Music and the real-life refugee journey of the Von Trapp family, Opera Echoes will explore what it means to seek safety, belonging, and home.
Building on ACTION Tulsa’s “Who Is My Neighbor?” initiative, the evening centers the voices and experiences of refugees living and working in Tulsa today.
Featuring:
· Live performances by the Filstrup Resident Artist Company
· Personal stories from refugees and those who walk alongside them
· Insightful facts and figures about Tulsa’s refugee communities
Admission is free, but reservations are required. Please register below. The museum will be open prior to the event for guests to explore. Come early to experience Jewish heritage, culture, history, and community! More information about current exhibits available at www.jewishmuseumtulsa.org.
Join us as we listen, learn, and ask together: Who is my neighbor?
