Tulsa Opera Chorus
The Tulsa Opera Chorus is led by Lyndon Meyer, Chorus Director, and comprises dedicated amateurs, professionals, and students from across the region.
The Chorus performs with internationally recognized artists, conductors, and stage directors in fully staged productions with orchestra.
Some previous choral experience is desired, but talent, motivation, and reliability are the most important qualifications. All Choristers are paid an honorarium per production. A limited number of travel stipends is also available.

2023-24 Season Auditions
Auditions for the 2023-24 Season will be held June 15-17 at the Tulsa Opera Office. Please arrive ten minutes before your audition time to fill out paperwork.
AUDITION REQUIREMENTS: One song (3 minutes or less) in classical style in English or Italian. Pieces may come from operas, operettas, oratorios, classical musicals, or may be art songs A pianist is provided. Please bring sheet music for the pianist. Recorded accompaniment is not permitted.
Chorus positions for 2023-24 include:
Gilbert and Sullivan’s Pirates of Penzance: All voice types. Rehearsals begin on or around September 18, 2023. Tech week October 21 to October 26. Performances October 27 and 29.
Verdi’s La traviata: All voice types. Rehearsals begin on or around March 26, 2024. Tech week April 27 to May 2. Performances May 3 and 5.
