This delightful double bill features two modern love stories. In The Telephone, Menotti’s clever chamber opera, Ben discovers that the only way to propose to his phone-obsessed girlfriend Lucy is to, well, phone it in. COMPANY PREMIERE.

In Heggie’s At the Statue of Venus, a beautiful and successful woman awaiting a blind date endures a familiar cocktail of modern anxieties, until she recalls the beautiful gifts that love can bring.
