Art at the Opera is Tulsa Opera’s initiative to spotlight Oklahoma visual artists and writers by inviting collaboration, inspiration, and promotion. Each season, we welcome select artists to attend a Tulsa Opera performance and create original works inspired by their experience.
For the 2025–26 season, participating artists will attend a performance of Gilbert & Sullivan’s The Pirates of Penzance—a hilarious, swashbuckling romance full of wit, charm, and adventure—on January 30 or February 1, 2026.
Selected artists receive:
• Up to 2 complimentary tickets to The Pirates of Penzance.
• The opportunity to create original art inspired by the performance.
• Promotion via Tulsa Opera’s social media, email, website, and publications.
• An inviation to a special concert event where you can display and sell your finished piece. Artists will set their own prices and keep 100% of the proceeds.
