THE FILSTRUP RESIDENT ARTIST COMPANY
AT TULSA OPERA
The Filstrup Resident Artist Company is a troupe of professional singers and pianists who serve as the face of Tulsa Opera in the community. You’ll see (and hear!) them everywhere! From singing the National Anthem at Drillers games to performing interactive opera for thousands of Oklahoma schoolchildren, from entertaining a crowd as they enjoy craft beer in a local pub to singing their hearts out from the main stage in a Tulsa Opera production, the Filstrup Resident Artist Company represents the best talent from Tulsa and beyond in our community and in the wider world.
MEET THE MUSICIANS
OF THE FILSTRUP RESIDENT ARTIST COMPANY
Filstrup Resident Artists are Tulsans. Some are born and raised here, some got here as quickly as they could, and others are short-term residents who come to work in our community on special projects. They are also college professors, middle- and elementary school teachers, film actors, church musicians, parents, and more. Some are pursuing full-time singing careers while others maintain multiple income streams, including performance.
Resident Artists engage in a variety of professional development activities, including coaching, classes, and round-table discussions with world-class industry professionals. They take this knowledge into their own communities, classrooms, and broader careers, where they proudly represent Tulsa on the world stage.
