The grandest of grand operas, Verdi’s classic tragedy is performed in concert.
Noted Verdi soprano Michelle Bradley performs the title role of the enslaved Ethiopian Princess Aïda. Aida’s beloved, Radamès, is sung by tenor Limmie Pulliam, fresh from his debut at the Metropolitan Opera. Triple Grammy-winning mezzo-soprano Michelle DeYoung sings the role of Amneris, the Egyptian princess and Radamès betrothed. Morris Robinson and Todd Thomas, last seen in Tulsa Opera’s “Baseball Rigoletto,” return to perform the roles of High Priest Ramfis and Amonasro.
This cast of stars is joined onstage by the Tulsa Opera Orchestra and a chorus of seventy.
