TULSA, OK, September 16, 2025 — Tulsa Opera is excited to announce the appointment of Calvin Michael Moniz, J.D., SHRM-SCP, as its new Director of Development. With nearly two decades of experience in higher education, corporate relations, and nonprofit advancement, Calvin brings a dynamic blend of strategic leadership and philanthropic expertise to the organization.

A proud alumnus of The University of Tulsa, Moniz holds a Juris Doctorate, MBA, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in Human Resources. His career includes transformative roles at Ingredion Incorporated, Saint Simeon’s Foundation, Phillips 66, and The University of Tulsa, where he led multimillion-dollar fundraising campaigns and community engagement initiatives.
Moniz’s civic leadership includes serving on the Tulsa Public Schools Board of Education and contributing to numerous local arts and historical organizations. His passion for the arts and commitment to inclusive community development make him a powerful addition to Tulsa Opera’s leadership team.
