THE BASICS

  • I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change is a 2-act musical comedy with book and lyrics by Joe DiPietro, and music by Jimmy Roberts.
  • Presented in a series of vignettes connected by the central theme of love and relationships, the play’s tagline is, “The Musical Guide to Relationships: First Dates, Break-Ups, Marriage, Children, Growing Old, and more.”
  • The show lasts 2 hours, plus a 20-minute intermission.
  • “Downbeat” or the start of the performance is 7:30 pm on Friday and Saturday nights and at 2:30 pm on Sunday afternoon.
  • Please note – this theater does not have a lobby, but we will open the doors at 6:30 pm on Friday and Saturday and 1:30 pm on Sunday. There will be a bar selling themed drinks and photo opportunities will be available.

    GENERAL ADMISSION SEATING / RESERVED TABLES

  • This production does not have assigned seating. On your ticket, GA stands for general admission. The seat number on your ticket is for internal use only and does not correspond to seats in the theater. Seats are first come, first serve.
  • The two-seater tables in the front of the theater are reserved for table ticket-buyers. Those who have reserved a table will sit at the table assignment on their ticket (e.g. Table 1, Table 2). General admission seats are on the risers.
  • DIRECTIONS & PARKING

    This performance is taking place in The Lynn Riggs Theater at The Dennis R. Neill Equality Center.
    The theater is directly east of the Equality Center, with the entrance on the left side of the building.

    IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW

    PARKING
    The small lot directly outside of the theater will be reserved for handicap parking.
    There is additional parking on the street (free after 5 pm on weekdays and free on the weekends) and paid parking on the northeast corner of 3rd and Kenosha.

    LATE SEATING
    Out of consideration for the performers and other members of the audience, we observe a “no late seating” policy. Those arriving after the performance has begun will be seated at an appropriate pause.

    TICKET QUESTIONS
    Starting at 6:30 pm on Friday and Saturday or 1:30 pm on Sunday, the Lynn Riggs theater will be open with box office staff available to answer any questions you may have. Otherwise, please call the Tulsa Opera box office at (918) 582-3133.
