Amahl and the Night Visitors – January 7th & 8th
The students of Tulsa Youth Opera present the annual production of Gian Carlo Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors! Join us on Saturday, January 7th at 2:30pm & 7:30pm and Sunday, January 8th at 2:30pm at the Liddy Doenges Theatre at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center.
The opera tells the story of a young boy named Amahl who lives in poverty with his mother. One night, their home is visited by the Three Kings, who are seeking shelter on their way to Bethlehem. This traditional Epiphany story about giving to others perfectly captures the Christmas spirit of joy and giving.
For many years, Tulsa Youth Opera has brought Amahl and the Night Visitors to Tulsa friends and family during the Christmas season. Dani Keil directs this year’s production at the Liddy Doenges Theatre at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center. You and your family won’t want to miss this Tulsa holiday tradition!
