After more than a year without in-person rehearsals or performances, Tulsa Youth Opera gathered together this spring to continue the tradition of performing Amahl and the Night Visitors, the 1951 Christmas-themed opera composed by Gian Carlo Menotti.
Christmas in July
This timeless production of a young boy and three mysterious kings will be available online July 9-15, just in time for Christmas in July!
The story tells of Amahl, who lives in poverty with his mother. One night, their home is visited by the Three Kings, who are seeking shelter on their way to Bethlehem, and the encounter leaves all of them forever changed.
