This song serves as a “breakup letter” from King George III to the American colonists. In this Britpop-inspired ballad, King George insists that the rebelling colonists “will be back” under his rule once their revolution is squashed.
Last season, Sam Briggs presented educational outreach performances throughout Oklahoma as a part of Tulsa Opera’s Opera on Tour! program. This May, he would have played the role of Hooker in Tobias Picker’s Emmeline.
