Today’s Staying Alive video features mezzo-soprano Kristee Haney singing “With So Little to Be Sure Of” from Stephen Sondheim’s musical Anyone Can Whistle. She is accompanied by Thomas Pandolfi on the piano.
In this scene, Fay Apple, a nurse at the sanatorium, and J. Bowden Hapgood, one of the inmates, sing to each other before they must part ways. They’ve only been together for a brief time, but they’ve shared so much, and neither of them will be the same again.
Haney is an Oklahoma native and was last seen on the Tulsa Opera stage in our 2019 production of The Little Prince, where she made her role debut as The Fox.
