This incredible baritone has traveled all over the globe, and we were lucky enough to sit down with Will and share a few moments behind the scenes!
Life as a world traveler
We asked Will what he found most challenging as an opera star. His response? The constant travel. “It’s tough being away from loved ones,” he told us. “I think the most challenging thing is being on the road all the time.”
Although traveling away from home gets rough sometimes, the opportunity to see so much of the world certainly helps to make up for it. Will has performed in many places around the world, but he has especially enjoyed Dublin, Ireland, and Santa Fe, New Mexico.
When asked about his favorite international place, he responded, “I really love London. I got to be there for about a month and a half… it was a blast.”
Will has sung with many other gifted artists, including the renowned soprano Christine Taylor Price. They will be performing together during this season’s performance of The Little Prince, starring Will as The Pilot and Christine as The Rose.

Will was excited to talk about The Little Prince, the opera bringing him to Tulsa in 2019.
“At first glance, it seems like one of those shows that stretches the imagination,” he said. “I think it’s really cool to check out operas that aren’t done that often.”
Based on the famous book by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince tells the story of the prince who befriends a pilot whose plane crashes in the Sahara Desert. Told with simplicity and poignancy, the prince learns to choose with his heart rather than his eyes, to find courage to explore new things, and to appreciate life’s simple pleasures.
Near the end of our interview, we asked Will if he had any bits of wisdom he wanted to offer to aspiring artists. His answer came like his smile: warm-hearted and ready.
“The most important thing is just staying true to your path. It’s easy to compare yourself [to others]. You have to accept what you have in front of you, and keep along your path.”
The Little Prince performances will take place at the Tulsa PAC on Friday, February 15, 2019, at 7:30 PM and Sunday, February 17, 2019, at 2:30 PM.
