For the Community
Aria Yoga
A free community yoga class set to opera music. Join Tulsa Opera at River Parks from 6-6:45 p.m. every Tuesday from April 8 through October 14. All ages and skills are welcome. Class is help in the grassy area near 17th and Riverside. Bring your mat and enjoy the music!
Songs by Heart
An engagement-centered program developed for Memory Care Communities in which a professional level singer leads an interactive sing-along. The singers use therapeutic techniques such as mirror, verbal, and gestural promptings, making direct eye contact, and holding hands throughout the program. Singers encourage residents to join in the singing, clapping, and dancing, as well as engage in conversations centered around the musical selections.
Opera Story Time
Opera artists share picture books and opera music with children and their caretakers. The program visits established story times at local parks, museums, and bookstores, sharing songs, stories, and lots of joy! For young ones and ones young at heart to develop early literacy skills and music appreciation.
Arias & Ales
Join Tulsa Opera at local craft breweries to see the stars of the stage in a casual atmosphere. Our Arias & Ales events present opera, musical theatre, and ensemble numbers, and a chance to mix and mingle with our Filstrup Resident Artists.
Next event: Friday, October 10 at Nothing’s Left Brewing Co.
Art at the Opera
Art at the Opera is Tulsa Opera’s initiative to spotlight Oklahoma visual artists and writers by inviting collaboration, inspiration, and promotion. Each season, we welcome select artists to attend a Tulsa Opera performance and create original works inspired by their experience. The 2025-26 season will feature submissions inspired by our production of The Pirates of Penzance. Submissions are open now through December 1, 2025!

The Sound of Music: Who is My Neighbor?

Sherwin Miller Museum of Jewish Art
In Tulsa Opera’s community conversation series, we partner with organizations throughout the community to highlight the intersection of opera and important contemporary issues. This event is free and open to the public, but space is limited, so you must register to attend.
This season, Tulsa Opera partners with ACTION Tulsa, the YWCA, and the Sherwin Miller Museum of Jewish Art for a community discussion inspired by themes from the upcoming production of The Sound of Music and the real-life refugee journey of the Von Trapp family.
