Tulsa Opera LIVE is returning this Saturday at 7pm in a special livestream event previewing the upcoming opera Puccini & Verdi Play Ball!
Join composer and Tulsa Opera Artistic Director Tobias Picker as well as acclaimed soprano Emily Pulley, rising lyric soprano Rachel Blaustein, and larger-than-life bass Andrew Potter as they talk about what’s going on behind the scenes with Tulsa Opera’s second at-bat at ONEOK Field.
In addition to sitting down with Tobias Picker, the guest artists will sing a selection of songs and take questions from the virtual audience.
Texas native Emily Pulley is playing Zita in Gianni Schicchi. Her radiant voice and electrifying acting have won her acclaim on national and international operatic stages including Houston Grand Opera, San Francisco Opera and the Metropolitan Opera.
Andrew Potter made his Tulsa Opera debut in 2019 as The King in The Little Prince. His vocal power and precise comic timing have garnered praise across the country. He’ll be portraying Simone in Gianni Schicchi and will return to Tulsa in February to sing the role of Pastor Avery in Emmeline.
Rachel Blaustein is making her Tulsa Opera debut as Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi. Keep an eye on this brilliant lyric soprano who is poised for an exciting season with debuts at New York City Opera, Chicago Opera Theater, and Santa Fe Opera.
