Tulsa Opera operates an extensive education and outreach program to provide opera for schools statewide. Those programs Opera on Tour!, a statewide elementary and middle school tour and the Student Matinee, an annual full-length opera performance for 2,300 schoolchildren. FOR MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOLS
Opera on Tour!: In-Class Master Class is an affordable way to give your middle and high school students the opportunity to work on contest solos and ensembles with professional singers — right in your classroom. Classes are one ($125) or two ($200) hours in length and are taught by Tulsa Opera’s professional Studio Artists. Tulsa Opera will provide a pianist for the class if desired.
Due to a shortened tour schedule, In-Class Master Classes will be available on limited dates in January and March 2013 only. In-Class Master Classes are only available to middle and high schools within 40 miles of Tulsa.
